Engage was set up in time for launch on the 1st January 2007 and was born out of
10 years of full-time youth work at
St. John’s church in Greenlands, Redditch.
Engage employs a full-time youth worker, Stu Avis, to work with the young people
of two local churches, St. John
’s and St. Peter’s, as well as extensive work with young people in the local schools and a number
of other projects locally and nationally.
Our mission statement is:
To empower the Church to relevantly engage with young people so they are
equipped to live life to the full.
At Engage, we seek to value young people for who they are, to empower them to live a life that has value and meaning and to encourage them
to take Jesus seriously.
Our core verse is John 10:10:
“I have come that you may have life - life to the full.”
